The European Stories event will celebrate all EUPL 2022 nominees on 6 December in readings and on a grand stage at Flagey culture house in Brussels, Belgium. The event will be attended by Mariya Gabriel (European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth), Sabine Verheyen MEP (Chair of the Committee on Culture and Education of the European Parliament), Sonia Draga (Vice President of the Federation of European Publishers) and Jean-Luc Treutenaere (Co-President of the European & International Booksellers Federation).
While we will honour this year’s prize winner, Georgian author Iva Pezuashvili with his novel “A Garbage Chute”, as well as the 5 special mentions from Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Ireland, Spain and Ukraine, you will also have the opportunity to listen and exchange with all the authors during the reading sessions, as they take you on a journey through their work and inspiration behind it, as well as through Europe’s unique linguistic richness and diversity.
Join this wonderful evening at the culture house Flagey. Registrations are open and available here.
